Un árbol muy común en mi país, muy especialmente en las áreas andinas, presente también en Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay y Brasil. A los frutos se les llama "falsa pimienta". Se considera que fue traído a territorios peruano por los conquistadores españoles.

In my country this is a very common tree, especially on Andean areas, but can also be found in Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and Brasil. The fruits are also known as "Fake Pepper". It is an accepted fact that it was brought to Peru by the Spanish conquerors.
